Biden will talk to Netanyahu on the phone about revenge against Iran.US President Joe Biden may speak on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday. Biden may ask Netanyahu whether Israel has any plans to attack Iran. The two leaders can discuss this over the phone. This was reported by Axios, citing three U.S. officials. A U.S. official said they wanted to use the call to highlight the limitations of a possible Israeli exchange. The Axios report quoted a US official as saying that Washington wants to ensure that Israeli attacks on Iranian targets are not disproportionate. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Hassan Nasrallah, the head of the pro-Iranian armed and political organization Hezbollah, was killed in an Israeli strike in Lebanon on September 27. The commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan, was also killed. Last week, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel. No one was killed in the attack. Washington condemned the attack as unprovoked. Since the attack, there have been fears of Israeli reprisals. Netanyahu has vowed to make Iran pay a heavy price for the missile attacks. Tehran, on the other hand, said any retaliation would be met with massive destruction. Concerns have been raised that war could spread further in the Middle East in the wake of the retaliatory threats. And the United States can be part of that. Biden said last week that he would consider the option of attacking Iran's oil fields if Israel were in place. He said Israel has not yet decided how to respond to Iran's attack.
